Red Racer IPA Bloody Mary

Beer cocktails. They are a thing and they are a wonderful thing.

Cocktails incorporating beer in some shape or form are popping up on more and more cocktail menus. There is nothing like the original beer cocktail though - the beer bloody mary.

Keep in mind I don't actually know if this is the original beer cocktail, just the one the majority of the world knows and seems to be the most common.

The bite of an IPA really works well for a spicy beer bloody mary.

Ingredients

Drink
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp celery salt (plus additional for glass rims)
1/4 tsp salt (plus rimmer)
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cream style horseradish
1 cup tomato juice
1 cup Central City Red Racer IPA
1 tsp Cholula Chipotle
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp tabasco
2 tsp brine for a jar of spanish olive
1/4 tsp cream style horseradish
1 tbs lemon juice (about 1/2 medium lemon)
Ice

Garnish
1 to 3 pickled beans
1 pickle
1 olive

Directions

Rim glass of cocktail with celery salt/salt mix.

In a cocktail shaker put chili powder, cumin, salt, celery salt, pepper, horseradish, and add tomato juice. Stir into horseradish is well incorporated.

Add ice to the shaker. Add all remaining ingredients, including Central City Red Racer IPA, and stir. Place garnish on skewer/glass and enjoy.
